It is a well known fact that the great religion of Islam is still, most regrettably, exposed to the vilest forms of attack launched by its vicious enemies ill many ways varying in strength and weakness with a view to undermining its edifice. Muslims are subject to a long series of torture, murder, rape and expulsion from their homelands.

This malignant campaign against Islam aims, further, at discrediting and sowing seeds of suspicion into it in an attempt to veil its numerous excellences and merits. This is in keeping with Allah's words:

{وَلا يَزَالُونَ يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ حَتَّى يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَنْ دِينِكُمْ إِنِ اسْتَطَاعُوا} .

"i.e. Nor will they cease fighting you until they turn you back from your faith if they can"

Attempting to repel these wicked attacks and refute the false allegations raised against the divine Message of Islam, I have written this article with the intention of presenting the salient characteristics of the Muslim Faith, revealing its unique distinction and grandeur.

To begin with, I should like to define Islamic Legislation, pointing out the various efforts exerted by Muslim scholars in this respect. It may be deemed appropriate to quote sheikh Muhammad AI-Shanqeety, may Allah's mercy be upon Him.
