[Shaving the chest of Muslim man]

[السُّؤَالُ]

ـ[I have a Muslim friend who is shaving his chest, I told him that's Haram. He wants proof from Qur'an or Hadith that shaving the chest man is Haram.]ـ

[الفَتْوَى]

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. There is no evidence to forbid shaving the hair of the chest. In fact, the Legislator did not say anything about this issue. So, the person has the choice to shave it or leave it. Allah knows best.
